Every year, the city of Merano in the context of the Merano Music Festival becomes the European center for classical music lovers. The Südtirol Festival Merano is one of the most important festivals for classic music in South Tyrol and in Europe.
Only a few steps from Hotel Terme Merano, the renowned music weeks with "classic" music from around the world take place from the 16th of August to the 22th of September 2026.
The first edition of the Merano Music Weeks dates back to 1986. Whereby the focus is not on "mass", but rather on "class" in order to also meet the highest artistic demands. Again this year, big orchestra and chamber music ensembles and excellent musicians guarantee for a unique music experience.
Each year, the focus lies on a different music style. Like every year however, there are also concerts, which go beyond the traditional classical music concept and can clearly be regarded as "cross-over" events.
