The hotel bus takes us to the little village of Foiana, about 20 minutes’ drive away, above Lana. From the church, we follow a gently ascending, quiet road past old farms to the Chestnut Trail. This easy-to-walk path winds its way along the hillside beneath many old chestnut trees and features various stations where you can learn about chestnuts. Along the way, we are repeatedly treated to wonderful panoramic views of the Merano valley basin and the surrounding mountains. We eventually make our way back to the bus, using the same route we took to get there at the start.

The guided walk takes place every Wednesday from 23rd September to 28th October.
