100% hand-made
ONE SWEET MOUTHFUL IS ENOUGH.
When our barman Mirco starts making Limoncello and Arancello, he combines ingredient after ingredient in a meticulous manual process. When the individual components, including limes and oranges, have developed their aroma to the fullest and ripened, then the yellow and orange liqueurs can be bottled. A fruity temptation you won’t be able to resist. Ideal as a souvenir to bring home with you!
Limoncello by Mirco - Good things take time
Recipe for 3 litres of limoncello - Ingredients:
- 1 litre pure alcohol 96°
- 6-8 lemons (depending on size)
- 1.5 litres of water
- 800 gr. sugar
What you need in addition:
- 1 lockable 4 litre container
Step one:
First wash the lemons thoroughly, dry them and peel the yellow lemon peel with as little white as possible. Pour the alcohol together with the peel into the container and place it in a dark place. Stir the mixture once a day for four weeks.
Step two:
After four weeks: Bring the water and sugar to boil in a saucepan and boil the liquid down until a syrupy consistency is obtained. Let the sugar syrup cool down. Strain the lemon peel from the alcohol, discard the lemon peel and pour the lemon alcohol into the sugar syrup. Place the mixture in a lockable container in a dark place with constant room temperature again. Stir once a day. After four weeks the limoncello is already ready to enjoy. Cheers!
Tip: It tastes best well chilled.
